Tai-chi – Movement for Power and Self Awareness – Room: Chambers Julio Cortes, Integrative Life Coach/ Trainer
Tai-chi is an internal martial art that is now mostly used for its meditative and healing aspects. It is also a very complex form of chi kung, a kind of Taoist Yoga, and, as such can be practiced by anyone (old, young, disabled, sick, etc.) with many great results. Some of the benefits are increased flexibility, strength, stamina, sensitivity, breathing capacity and overall sense of well-being. In this class, participants will learn the basis of the form, do some solo and partner practices, and feel more open, aware, energized and pleasantly exercised. It is good for all age groups, physical conditions and body types, as it can be adapted to the participant’s body and temperament. Please come in loose or comfortable clothing if possible, with an open mind and a willingness to move.
